A friend of mine and her husband (that I don't see often enough) are always writing for someone. In a very casual conversation, she asked if they could do an article on me about my faith. I was quite intimidated about that. I mean, after all, who am I?
First, let me say "thank you" to all of you for the kind words. To Jesus Christ be all the glory. One comment in particular got my attention. It was from a high school friend who said something to the effect of 'I've known you, but never knew you'.
Isn't that true of all of us? We all know someone in our life that we think we know pretty much everything, but do we? Probably not. No one knows our most intimate thoughts and feelings. No one knows the fear and insecurity or the hurt and anger that we try so desperately to hide.
But there is Someone Who does! And He loves us in spite of ourselves. Jesus sees and knows our hearts. Why, He knows us better than we know ourselves. And He loves us anyway! Our pastor always says, "There is nothing you can do to make Jesus love you more and... there is nothing you can do to make Him love you less."
So with that being said, why don't we do the best we can and leave the rest (well, all of it) up to God?
