As you know, we have just returned from the mountains. While we were out and about we looked for potential retirement locations. As you can see, the area we were at was absolutely gorgeous. But...nothing really screamed at us.
We are listening for the Holy Spirit to speak as to whether or not we should move upon retirement. Just the fact that both of us will entertain the idea is a monumental feat. At any rate, I have learned that you should keep doing what you know to do and not make any rash changes until you have a very clear answer from the Lord. So we will stay put and serve right here at home.
I can say that traveling to southeast Kentucky and northeast Tennessee reminded me what an awesome God we serve! He is the Master Artist. I don't understand how people can truly believe that "nothing" exploded and created this beautiful world that is perfectly suited for life. I'm always amazed to see our great country's landscape from deserts to mountains to lush green views like above. Creation really does cry out that there is a God! Just like the Bible says it does.
So, friend, if you are a fellow traveler remember, there's no place like home!
